Expensive, but worth it!
I hesitated to purchase the comb at first, as my hair has always broken comb teeth. As a note, my hair is thick, fine, mostly straight, and five feet long, so hair care is something of a chore.
I used this comb as my only, exclusive, hair brushing/combing device for the past twelve weeks.
What I do not like: Combing hair is slower than brushing it. The comb can only process so much hair at one time. Paddle brushes are, indeed, faster, but they can “rip” through one’s hair. I suspect that brushes cause more wear on the hair shaft than the comb does.
The design--I have lost and found this comb more times than I can count! The tortoiseshell/ivory look is quite camouflaging in today’s decor! For me, it needs to have a bright duct tape attached to make it more findable or to be available in a gaudy “look-at-me” color.
What I like: No teeth are broken on the comb after twelve weeks, and the item fits my hand well. I can “hug” it to the back of my Smartphone to locate it more easily. Unlike my paddle brush, I can rotate the comb to any angle to address individual hair snarls. I suspect that the ability to rotate the comb is why I have not seen new split ends in the past twelve weeks.
I have arthritis in my hands and fingers. Before, I would “finger-comb” using my hands and fingers to organize my hair and prep it for the paddle brush. My fingers would often be sore after the finger-combing/paddle brush routine. The comb, when turned 90 degrees, replaces the finger-combing routine. Much less finger pain. I like that.
